After Builders Cleaning: your questions answered
Should I book before or after the builders finish?
After all trades are off site, including snagging. Any further work will re-dust everything we have cleaned.
Why does it cost more than a deep clean?
Fine dust needs several passes with HEPA extraction over hours, and it keeps settling. Grease and limescale, by contrast, are cleaned once.
Can you take the leftover building waste?
Yes, we are a registered waste carrier. Bundling clearance with the clean saves you a second call-out.
Do you remove paint and cement splashes?
Yes, from glass, tiles, floors and sanitaryware. Paint on porous or unfinished surfaces is assessed on site, since removal can damage the surface.
Will one visit be enough?
For most projects yes. On heavy plaster or floor-sanding jobs a second lighter pass a day or two later is sometimes worth it, and we will say so upfront.
Do you have insurance for a construction site?
Yes, full public liability, and we work to your site access and PPE rules.
Can you clean out of hours before a handover?
Yes, evenings and weekends at no surcharge for standard bookings, which suits handover deadlines.
Do you charge hourly or fixed price?
Either. Fixed price by property size is the norm, or £35 per cleaner per hour where scope is unclear.
